Free Colour From Adobe — Kuler
Every so often, I run into a wall when it comes to figuring out colour combinations on a particular job. Every blue feels like the blue that everyone is using, every orange starts to look like 50m 100y, maybe a little darker, a little lighter, but still orange and no one’s going to be able to tell the difference. I throw my arms up, decide I’m crap at this kind of work and mumble a little under my breath about how life should be simpler.
Then I troll around the web, hoping someone’s inspired combination on this site or that will help me jump start my eyes beyond the greys that I often default to when struggling.
Eventually, I land up at COLOURlovers, a site that I must have come across during one of my struggles, and flick through what people have put together to make life easier for losers like me.
Now, I (we all) have another option that seems even nicer — Kuler from Adobe Labs. I love how the big blocks of colour are the first thing you see. I love how, when you rollover the smaller palettes below, they expand horizontally to give you a better idea of each rectangle.
Perhaps the coolest part of it is the integration with the CS2 suite. I haven’t yet tried it out, but you can download colour themes to use with any of the CS2 apps.
I don’t see myself solely using Kuler, because COLOURlovers has a lot to offer as well, but it’ll probably jump to the top of my list, for right now at least.

You can download palettes on COLOURlovers in several formats too.
P.S. Thanks for the link.
